Gurunandan is an actor associated with Kannada entertainment industry. He appears in Kannada movies, and has been a part of television shows earlier. He started off with Kannada television playing small roles, and later rose to fame with lead role as Surya for the daily show Lakumi aired on the Asianet Suvarna. The series ran for more than episodes and he became a household name among Kannada television audiences.

In he marked his debut in a lead role through the movie, Cyber Yugadol Nava Yuva Madhura Prema Kavyam and with the release of blockbuster film, First Rank Raju he rose to fame. Currently he is one of the most sought young heroes of Sandalwood. While studying at school, he once ran away from his house to Bangalore to pursue a career in films.

He later returned back and continued with his studies. But he was determined to join film stream. After graduation, with consent of his parents he once again reached Bangalore to try his luck for the second time.
